How to setup a GPS Fence 🎥

You can create GPS Fences using the Findster App and get notified if your pet breaches them! There are three types: Virtual Leash, Safe Zone, Danger Zone.

Types of Fences

Here's a brief description of each fence you may create using the Findster App:

• Virtual Leash - centered on your position (given by your smartphone), it automatically moves with you. After defining the fence radius, you'll be notified if your pet goes beyond it. In order to improve the Virtual Leash's accuracy, connect your smartphone to the internet (using Wi-Fi or 3G/4G), so your phone can obtain additional positional references regarding where you are.
• Safe Zone - entirely customizable and stationary, it is meant to cover areas where the pet should remain. You'll be notified if your pet breaches it.
• Danger Zone - similar to the Safe Zone, it is also entirely customizable and stationary, but is meant to cover areas the pet is not supposed to enter. You'll be notified if your pet enters it.

While the Virtual Leash has a minimum radius of 55 yards (50 meters), the Safe Zone and the Danger Zone have no minimum radius. However, we advise you to apply roughly the same minimum radius when creating one of these GPS fences, in order to prevent inaccurate notifications. So, even if your pet gets tracked a few yards/meters away from its real position, due to GPS accuracy problems, they'll still be inside the fence and you won't receive the inaccurate notification. Please note that these errors are not 100% unavoidable in any device that features a GPS.

Creating a Fence

Please follow these steps in order to create a fence:

1. Access the Menu on the Findster App.
2. Select the Fences feature.
3. Press the + button.
4. Select the type of Fence you want to create, on the top of the screen.
5. Create virtual points to define the Fence (Safe Zone/Danger Zone) or adjust the slider to your preferred radius (Virtual Leash).

Deleting a Fence

Please follow these steps in order to delete a fence:

1. Access the Menu on the Findster App.
2. Select the Fences feature.
3. Swipe left on the Fence you wish to delete, to reveal the Delete button.
4. Press it and confirm that you wish to delete the fence.
