How to access my pet's history
The History feature will cover your pet's location history, walking time and number of paws walked within the last 7 days of activity, as long as they are within the last 30 days. To access the History screen, tap the respective Pet in the Home screen of the Findster App.
Registered movements
Your pet's location only gets tracked if the Pet module is also registering activity at the same time. The GPS has a standard associated error and, if you're in an environment with unfavorable conditions, such as with obstructions, the pet's position may sometimes be tracked with a slight deviation, as stated in the article about connection range and GPS accuracy. Due to this, the pin would appear to be "jumping" in the map, as it alternated between real and inaccurate positions. Using activity as a criteria, the Findster system knows the pet may not be moving during a certain period - if this is the case and yet the module is reporting new positions, they will be considered inaccurate and discarded.
Dots in the History screen
In the History screen, your pet's route is represented by a line. Rather than continuously drawn, this line is often segmented into smaller sections which extend between two dots (representing the start and end point of a determined section). This segmentation is determined by your pet's activity: each time your pet stops to rest for a period longer than 5 minutes, a dot is added to mark the end of the current section; once they start moving again, a new dot will be added to mark the beginning of a new section.
